A brewery that doesn't exist, a stout you can't buy, drawn the way a label actually was in 1974: two flat inks, bone and warm amber, a keyline frame, banner bands top and bottom, a heavy condensed serif, hop sprigs. No crossed sticks. No cartoon ref. Nothing in a sans-serif telling you it's a joke.
A stout is the darkest beer in the case, so this one only comes in the dark. That's not a limitation, it's the point — eleven dark colorways: black, dark chocolate, navy, forest green, maroon, dark heather, charcoal, indigo blue, royal, graphite heather and red.
Printed on the Gildan 18000 heavy-blend crewneck — thick, warm, and honest about where it's going to live, which is a cold barn at ten at night. Direct-to-garment printed so the ink sits in the fabric rather than on top of it.
Captains: this is the one the whole bench wears, and the penalty box is a joke every single one of them is personally implicated in. It's also the angle that lands under a tree, because it explains itself to whoever bought it.
