Some people collect stamps. You collect species. This antique field-guide plate renders the barn owl, heart-shaped facial disk, soft wings, and the italic Tyto alba, in the manner of a framed museum print, for the birder who can pick a call out of the dawn chorus. The design wraps both sides, so it reads whichever way it is picked up.
A quietly handsome gift for the birdwatcher, the naturalist, or the friend whose binoculars live by the window. Great for birthdays, the holidays, or a life-list milestone.
