The walk was supposed to be quick. Then the dog found a lamppost, a fence post, a very interesting patch of lawn and one leaf that needed a second opinion. Fifty-eight minutes later, two-tenths of a mile had been covered. This dog dad tote bag carries the official record.
The design reads like a workout recap. SNIFFARI across the top in heavy condensed capitals, a happy cartoon mutt beside it with its nose buried in a grass tuft and its tail in the air, and two stats underneath at headline size: 58 MIN and 0.2 MI. One rounded card and four flat inks, no app and no small print, so the joke lands from across the street.
Long shoulder handles and a roomy interior, with space for the leash, the treats and the ball nobody will chase while there is still sniffing to do.
A gift from the dog for Father's Day or Christmas, a knowing pick from the partner who has waited at the door for every one of these walks, or a birthday laugh for the fellow dog walker who never gets past the first block either.
Slow and steady. Mostly slow.
