For the backyard beekeeper who reads the hive like a book, this mug is a tiny botanical field plate: a honeybee, wildflowers, and "Apis mellifera" rendered in the warm, detailed style of a vintage naturalist's study.
The design wraps both sides, so the fine linework reads the same whichever hand picks it up, through the slow mornings after checking the frames.
A thoughtful gift for the hobbyist apiarist, the homesteader, or the gardener who talks about their bees the way other people talk about their pets.
