Her job title takes up half a business card, and she has spent her whole career watching it get shortened, softened and turned into clip art. This shirt does the opposite. "SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST" is set in full, in heavy mid-century capitals, beneath a seven-bar speech signal drawn as pure geometry, one bar set apart to carry the peak. It reads like a poster from a 1960s clinic. Nothing about it apologises for the length of the title.

The mark sits crisp and flat in three inks, and the range keeps to light shades on purpose, so it reads warm and rich, the way the poster would.

This is the shirt she buys herself in August for orientation, and the one a partner or a grad student gives her when they want to get it unmistakably right.

Designed for the clinician, not the cute version of her.
