This is the stationery for that office. OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER, typeset like a government department. And in a rule-box underneath, the only clause that has ever mattered: ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL. It is a mid-century sports-annual title plate and it is played completely straight: a heavy condensed slab wordmark, two hairline rules, a small crossed gavel. No cartoon football. No punchline. The joke is that the joke is never made, and every person at the draft table gets it in about two seconds.
