Somewhere around the sternum there is a line, and every person who takes a call from a spare bedroom signed up to it without a single meeting about it. Above the line: presentable, awake, gainfully employed. Below it: nobody's business but yours. It is the only workplace policy that has ever enforced itself.
The artwork simply draws the thing. One thick dashed guide line runs the full width of the chest at the height the camera gives up, a chunky square handle at each end like you could reach up and drag it, and BUSINESS ABOVE THIS LINE set in one heavy row of modern sans directly above. Three flat inks straight onto the fabric, no card behind the type, no frame closing it in. Nothing is borrowed from any app and there is no second line explaining the first, because wearing it is the explanation.
Warm enough for a cold spare room, which is most of the point.
It lands on the person whose camera has been the same corner of the same room since 2021, a partner who has heard the whole treaty out loud, or a December team exchange where nobody has to be told why it is funny.
