There is a moment, about four minutes in, where you stop deciding whether you like it. The needle is down, the sleeve is on the arm of the chair, and the next forty minutes have already been agreed to. This mug is for the part of you that keeps that agreement: SIDE A. The art is typeset like a 1970s sleeve credit block, a heavy condensed slab header, a grooved platter and tonearm beneath, and a sunburst of rays opening out behind, and it wraps both sides, so it reads the same whichever hand picks it up. Every mark is original: no band, no label, no borrowed cover art, and a centre label deliberately left blank.
It also solves the one real problem with buying for a record collector: this cannot be a duplicate.
Side one, start to finish. That was always the deal.
